Fun Things to do Around Seattle this 4th of July


Cardinal Heating & A/C has put together a list of some of the things to do around town this 4th of July. It’s not an exhaustive list but if you’re looking for something fun to do, we’ve got you covered.

Fourth of July Splash

The City of Kent is providing a full day of fun for the whole family this 4th. Live music, games, and wooden and toy boat building activities, bouncy houses and more. After sunset pick a spot on the lawn and settle in for some great fireworks!

Admission is free.

Tacoma Freedom Fair

The Ruston Waterfront has been home to a great event put on by the Tacoma Events Commission for over 30 years, now. Daytime celebrations include an air show, food, rides, and special exhibits. Then when the sun sets, experience what’s billed as “The Northwest’s Biggest Fireworks Show” over Puget Sound.

Free admission but suggested donation of $2-$15.

Everett Freedom Festival

The City of Everett starts this Independence day with a Colors of Freedom Parade that takes place downtown along Colby and Westmore Avenues. The parade starts at 11 am and the next round of fun starts at 1 at Legion Memorial Park, where it hosts the Freedom Festival. Fireworks show begins at 10:20 pm.

An Edmonds Kind of Fourth of July

Edmonds City has put together a full day of events for the whole family that begins with a fun run at 10 am. After that, enjoy the children’s parade, the main parade, and the Firefighters Waterball Competition, all ending with a big fireworks show at 10 pm.

Admission is free or $15/$20 for fun run pre-registration.

Celebrate Kirkland 4th of July

The Kirkland Arts Center and Celebrate Kirkland are putting on a whole day of fun stuff to do for the entire family. Starting at 10 am and running right through to the fireworks at 10:15, there’s plenty to do here.

Burien Family Days

The oldest parade in King County will begin at 3 pm this year and run until 5 pm along a new route. Watch for the floats, Seafair pirates, marching bands, and more. Runs for about 2 hours.

Attendance is free.

Auburn Fourth of July Festival

Celebrate the 4th this year with a parade, bike brigade, vintage cars, food, arts & crafts, rides, games, and live music. Fun begins at 11 am and runs until 4.
